Even more high power

ipf presents innovations in the field of additional camera lights

ipf offers a wide-ranging portfolio of additional camera lights that is constantly being developed further. Here are some of the latest innovations.

Highly compact LED spotlights

Small installation spaces require very compact solutions. With a diameter of just 16mm, the LED spotlights in ipf's ES16-series have enough space even in very confined installation situations. The light from the spotlights can be focused via the lens and, if necessary, blurred to achieve greater light diffusion. Thanks to the flash controller integrated in the cable tail, the lights can also be used in continuous, switching and flash mode as usual. The LED spotlights are available with two focal distances: ES160100 with 16mm optics (operating range from 10-500mm), ES160101 with 6mm optics (operating range from 1-200mm).

4-channel flash controller for the DIN-rail

Also new is the AO000655 flash controller from ipf for top hat rails, with which up to four LED channels can be controlled separately or coupled. The controller is configured via a Modbus interface. A Windows-based client supports simple parameterization and integration of the solution and provides ready-made "sequence modes" for special applications such as "shape-from-shading". "Shape-from-shading is a 3D method that measures inclination and curvature and is used in automated quality assurance, particularly for inline surface inspections. The controller offers a current-controlled mode for continuous light and a voltage-controlled mode for short, precise and powerful flashes.

Fine-level color control

With the AO000655, the new ER1D7530 ring light (11W power, operating range of 100-300mm) can be finely and precisely controlled in four independent colors (red, green, blue and white). Along with the individual red, green and blue color channels, white is available as a separate channel, allowing the light color to be generated not only additively. This ensures a uniform spectral distribution for white, which provides additional brightness.

Ideal for surface inspections: segmented ring light

The new ER1D7130 ring light (operating range of 75-200mm) has quarter segments that can be controlled individually and therefore independently of each other via the AO000655 flash controller. This allows test objects to be illuminated from different brackets and their three-dimensional properties to be assessed. A typical application for this is the aforementioned "shape-from-shading".

Optimum illumination of the finest structures

The new ER1A0170 ring light with a direct incident light and a 45-degree internal angle enables light surface and relief structures to be optimally illuminated. With an output of 11W, this solution from ipf has an operating range of 30-200mm.
