Inductive sensors with expanded temperature range
There are applications in which the temperature resistance of standard inductive sensors in the range from -25°C to +80°C is not sufficient. It is for this reason that ipf electronic will be presenting inductive sensors with an expanded ambient temperature range during SPS IPC DRIVES.
The new sensors are suitable for applications with ambient temperatures from -40°C to +100°C and are available in four designs (Ø6.5mm, M8x1, M12x1, M18x1 and M30x1.5). The switching distances of the devices range from 1.5mm to 10mm for the versions with flush mounting and from 3.0 to 15mm for the sensors with the non-flush mounting. The electronics in these new products are located in a robust metal housing and are reliably protected against shocks and vibrations by means of a special potting. The sensors are connected via M8 or M12 plugs.
Wide range of applications
Due to their expanded temperature range, the new inductive sensors from ipf electronic are recommended, e.g., for integration in machine parts exposed to harsh industrial conditions, for robotic applications, in cold storage rooms or climatic zones with very low outdoor temperatures, for the detection of hot workpieces in the steel industry, for use in foundries or during glass production as well as for positioning hot parts in handling and transport systems – to list just a few examples.
