From the all-rounder to the "hothead"

Cylinder sensors are the best choice for sensing the piston rod position of pneumatic cylinders. in order for such solutions to be truly suitable for all conceivable applications with very different operating conditions, they should be compact, very robust and precise at the same time, and they should also be easy to install.

The new generation of cylinder sensors from ipf electronic combines precisely these properties in three device solutions that can be easily inserted from above into the 6.2mm T-slot of pneumatic cylinders and securely fixed with a grub screw.

The sensors convince with an extremely resistant metal housing in protection class IP67 for long-lasting use even under extremely harsh environmental conditions. Due to a high switching frequency of 1,000Hz, the cylinder sensors offer highest precision with small hysteresis. The devices are shock and vibration resistant as well as short-circuit and reverse polarity protected. Another plus point: Due to their small housing length of 19mm, two sensors fit into the groove of a compact cylinder.

ipf electronic offers the cylinder sensors in three versions, whereby the MZA70176 with M8-connector and the MZA70126 with M12-connector as all-rounders enable universal use in a variety of applications with pneumatic cylinders. The devices have a relative repeatability of 0.1mm, ensure short overtravel distances and are designed for use in a temperature range from -25°C to +70°C. Of note is the high temperature resistance of the MZA70156. As the hotspur of the series, this cylinder sensor with integrated output stage in the M8-connector remains completely unimpressed even by temperatures up to a maximum of +130°C. The other technical specifications of the MZA70156 are identical to the MZA70126 and MZA70176.
