Compact magnetic-inductive flow meter

In times of rising energy costs, consumption recording and measurement is more important than ever. The new magnetic-inductive flow meters are used for the measurement and monitoring of small and medium flow rates of conductive liquids in pipes such as fresh and waste water inlets and outlets or for monitoring cooling circuits.

The devices work according to the magnetic-inductive measuring principle. According to Faraday's law of induction, a voltage is induced in a conductor that moves in a magnetic field. The electrically conductive measuring medium corresponds to the moving conductor in the process. The voltage induced by the measuring medium is proportional to the flow rate and is therefore a measure of the volume flow rate. The prerequisite is a minimum electrical conductivity (≥20µS/cm) of the flowing medium. The induced voltage is transmitted to an integrated measuring amplifier via two electrodes that are in conductive contact with the medium. The volume flow is calculated via the defined pipe diameter.

The digital display of the sensors can be rotated in 90° increments depending on the installation position of the devices. The sensors also have 2 outputs that can be configured as switching, frequency or analog output.

Other features include the integrated temperature measurement and the dosing function, which enables the exact dosing of cleaning agents, for example. This ensures careful and optimized handling of high-quality media and avoids overdosing or unnecessary disposal costs. The robust and flexible design of the sensors enables easy installation, even in narrow pipe systems.
