PLC (programmable logic controller) (Smart Production Solutions) 2022

Around 1000 exhibitors received approx. 44,000 visitors on an area of 112,000 m². Although the trade fair was significantly smaller than in 2018 & 2019, this had no impact on the quality and intensity of the technical discussions. Industry 4.0 was a recurring theme throughout the year 2022 and, as at other trade fairs before it, no exhibitor or visitor was able to avoid this topic at the PLC (programmable logic controller) trade fair.

The company ipf electronic from Altena was also able to present new products for the automation of systems and machines at the trade fair and thus inspire visitors to find new solutions. The new logic modules of the VL61 series with 4-fold AND/OR and 8-fold AND/OR should be highlighted. These can be individually parameterized and configured via IO-Link to suit the respective requirements and conditions on site. Another highlight at this trade fair was once again the devices for measuring compressed air consumption and leakage detection. Here, visitors were able to examine the function of the devices under practical conditions and also test them themselves. This attracted many visitors from all sectors to the ipf electronic stand, which resulted in many very interesting discussions.

Not only solutions for digital data processing or energy management could be marveled at, but also for almost every application area of system/machine automation. These included magnetic cylinder sensors, multifunctional light grids, high-performance light barriers and various sensors for the recognition of transparent objects. Due to the positive outcome of the trade fair, we are already looking forward to welcoming you at the next PLC (programmable logic controller) from 14-16.11.2023 in Nuremberg.
