Behind the Scenes - Controlling
Judith Jörgens – An Eye on the Numbers, a Focus on the Future
Judith Jörgens has been part of IPF since 2011. She started out in financial accounting before embarking on a new chapter in 2015: With the establishment of the Controlling department, she moved into a field that she has helped shape ever since with her experience and expertise.
Together with her teammate and supervisor—who has been part of the Controlling department since 2020—Judith ensures that financial figures are easy to understand and that trends are recognized early on. Through her analyses, she creates transparency, reviews planned and actual results, and makes economic relationships clear.
Her responsibilities in the area of monthly reporting include, among other things, plan-versus-actual comparisons, reviewing fixed assets and inventory, and conducting analyses at the cost center and profit center levels. She prepares weekly forecasts for senior management to highlight variances and potential areas requiring action at an early stage.
Judith also plays a central role within the team throughout the year: She manages and coordinates planning for the coming fiscal year, reviews the operating expense and capital expenditure plans submitted by cost center managers, and oversees the preparation of the annual financial statements. In addition, she analyzes benchmark data on the competitive landscape and determines cost rates for cost calculations.
Along with her professional commitment, Judith is a true team player and family person. In her free time, she is active with the Turboschnecken, loves mountain bike tours, and also volunteers in her community.
Dear Judith, thank you for your dedication, your reliability, and your expertise. With your analytical mind and your knack for seeing the big picture, you ensure that even complex topics remain transparent. We’re glad you’re part of the IPF team!
