Behind the scenes - electronics development

From a part-time job in production to a permanent position in development - Thomas Hähnel has shaped his path at IPF with determination and passion.

He started as a temporary employee in April 2017 and then moved to the development department in the same year while studying electrical engineering. As soon as he completed his studies at the end of 2017, he immediately took on the vacant setting as an electronics developer - a seamless transition at full throttle. Thomas was immediately entrusted with a major project: our piston rod sensors. To this day, he is the straight contact person when it comes to the further development, know-how and reliability of these devices.

And anyone who thinks he switches off after work doesn't know him:

In his spare time, Thomas works on cars with his brother and a friend. The three of them have quickly converted a small garage into their own workshop - where they test, tinker and screw whatever tools they can find. Privately, he drives a BMW M140i with 340 hp - and yes, you can tell that technology and performance also accompany him in the fast lane.

Thomas, you don't just get our products moving - you also drive the team. Stay exactly the same: focused, down-to-earth and always with one more horsepower in your head.
