Award as a "family-friendly company"

Fourteen companies from the Märkisch district, the Ennepe-Ruhr district and the city of Hagen were awarded the "Family-friendly company" certificate for the first time by the Märkische Region Competence Center for Women and Work at Haus Witten. Thirteen other companies received the certificate in the recertification process - five of them for the second time and eight for the third time.

They all implement family-friendly measures or have embarked on this path during the certification process. Simple agreements and measures are often enough to significantly reduce the burden on employees. This benefits both the employees and the companies. Family-friendly offers are real plus points when it comes to attracting and retaining qualified employees. Companies that develop this locational advantage for themselves use the "Family-friendly company" award to promote themselves.

The certified companies and the work of the Märkische Region Competence Center for Women and Work received special recognition in the speech by the District Administrator of the Ennepe-Ruhr district, Olaf Schade.
