Internship as a digital and print media designer
However, because we consider career guidance to be very important, we still allowed Jolyn to complete her school internship with us. She was allowed to visit our PR (public relations) department for a week, naturally under certain corona hygiene measures, and get a first impression of the job description of a media designer.
After a brief introduction, she was immediately allowed to actively and creatively tackle her first task: "Create your own corporate design".
First, Jolyn developed her own logo using the Adobe Illustrator graphics program. This was created as a color and black and white vector graphic.
This was followed by an introduction to the Adobe Indesign program, where a 2-page business card was created according to print specifications. To complete the whole thing, a matching letterhead according to DIN 676 (Form B) was created, so that Jolyn ended up with a logo, a business card and a letterhead in her own corporate design.
A new ipf product is photographed in the in-house photo studio and then further processed; Jolyn was also allowed to lend a hand and photograph an article.
Last but not least, the well-known Adobe Photoshop program and a "cropping exercise" followed. Here, Jolyn digitally edited a product photo of the ipf and cropped it at the end so that it can now be found on our homepage.
We wish you, dear Jolyn, that you find a job that inspires you.
