Career exploration - insight into the world of work at IPF

As part of the career exploration days, Timo Kemler had the great opportunity to experience our company up close on May 21 and 22, 2025. For two days, he was able to get a taste of various areas and gain his first impressions of the world of work - an exciting experience and an important step on the way to choosing a career later on. In total, he got to know four straight areas at our company: sales, technology, development and IT.

Day 1 - Experience sales and sensors live

It all started in sales. Here he got an overview of what we do, who our customers are and how we work with them. He found it particularly interesting how customer inquiries are processed, what a CRM system actually does - and why good communication and technical understanding are so important. In between, it was also practical: he was allowed to connect and test some sensors himself and get information on our website to better understand how the products work.

Day 2 - Technology, development & IT up close

The second day started with technology and development. Here he was able to see how initial ideas are turned into real technical solutions. He saw how CAD systems are used, how you get from planning to prototype - and what questions arise in the day-to-day work of a developer.

Then it was off to the IT department. There he was shown how important functioning and secure IT systems are for the entire company. Topics such as networks, hardware, software and daily IT support were clearly explained. The server room and the printer system were also on the program - and he was even allowed to help out: Some workstations were technically upgraded and computers and monitors were replaced.

Conclusion

These were two exciting and instructive days for Timo. He not only learned about processes, but also experienced how important good teamwork and technical solutions are in everyday life. Insights like these are a real help when it comes to career orientation - and give young people a sense of how varied and exciting working in a modern company like IPF can be.
