Targeted search for high-performance light barriers

Via the product selectors, ipf electronic now offers another practice-oriented function on its website to make the search for high-power photoelectric sensors much easier.

 

High-performance photoelectric sensors from ipf electronic have a variety of special features and show their strengths particularly in areas of application with harsh environmental conditions, e.g. extremely high dust and dirt loads, high humidity, but also adverse weather conditions such as fog or snow.

 

The three-part systems consist of a selection of transmitters, receivers and amplifiers, whereby a distinction is made between single-channel amplifiers for the connection of one light barrier and multiplex amplifiers (connection of several light barriers), which also provide different operating modes.

 

Well via 5000 possible combinations

Within the range spectrum of ipf electronic's high-performance photoelectric sensors from 7 to 70 meters, up to around 5440 combinations are possible, which initially makes it difficult to find a potentially suitable solution for an application. If, for example, a transmitter with a high power is selected due to a desired long range, the selection of an amplifier that does not match this can reduce the range of the light barrier. Oversizing the overall system is also usually not expedient, as the infrared light from the light barrier is deflected or simply penetrates the object, depending on the material and material thickness of the object to be recognized.

 

The optimum solution with just a few clicks

The search function available via the ipf electronic homepage (www.ipf-elecronic.com) make it possible to filter product groups according to device-specific properties and therefore also needs-oriented requirements. ipf electronic has developed its own method for filtering out suitable device combinations from the wide range of high-performance light barriers.

 

For example, the range of the desired high-power photoelectric sensor can be specified in the product selector in order to then receive a selection of suitable transmitters, receivers and amplifiers. Another click on a version displays the number of possible combinations, behind which all device combinations are then clearly listed. This selection can be further refined until a manageable number of results is available.
