Switching amplifier within M12 plug connector

With the IVA0012T, ipf presents a connection cable with an integrated switching amplifier within the M12-connector. The solution was specially developed for inductive sensors that can be used in an extended temperature range.  

 

ipf's portfolio of inductive sensors includes a whole range of devices that are particularly suitable for use in areas with elevated ambient temperatures of up to +230°C. While the sensor is located directly at the sensing location with the increased temperatures, the connection amplifier is installed in a less thermally critical area to protect the electronics.
The system solutions from ipf generally consist of four components: the pluggable sensor, the pluggable connection cable to the amplifier, the amplifier or evaluation unit and the connection cable to the control unit.

 

With the IVA0012T, however, there is no need to install an amplifier as a separate module, as it is already located in the M12-connector of the connection cable. This doesn’t only simplify the installation of the overall system by eliminating a connection component, but also reduces the number of necessary plug connections (two instead of three) as potential sources of error. 

 

In addition to the M12 plug connector with integrated switching amplifier, the 10-metre long, double-assembled IVA0012T connection cable has a temperature-resistant Lemo connector on the sensor side for connecting an inductive sensor. This means that the proximity switch can be replaced quickly in the event of mechanical damage, for example, without having to change the connection cable, as is the case with a fixed connection
