Simply retrofit or convert?

More flexibility with signal converters

Retrofitting a counter or pulse stretching without much effort? Or convert a standard sensor into a rotation speed monitor? With the new electronic signal converters CI200120, VY200120 and WS200120 from ipf electronic, this is now possible without any problems.

All signal converters have an M12 socket and an M12-connector for conceivably simple installation between the sensor and its connection cable. For proper functioning, the devices must first be taught. If the CI200120 for example, if the connected sensor is actuated five times, the signal converter only releases a switching output after the teach-in contact is disconnected on the fifth pulse at the sensor, so that the device works as a pulse divider. In addition, the CI200120 (response time of 0.001ms) can be used for a wide range of applications, including as a pause/part counting device, inverter, signal amplifier, frequency divider or wear/maintenance counter.

The VY200120 on the other hand, contains a timer stage. During teach-in, the connected sensor is damped or actuated for a certain time - this time is then available as a turn-on or turn-off delay.

The WS200120 can be used as a pulse or rotation speed monitor. For this purpose, the sensor must detect a complete movement cycle of the object to be monitored. If the frequency de-energizes by more than five percent during running operation, the switching output is set to "high".

All signal converters from ipf electronic are versioned in protection class IP67 and can be used in a temperature range from 0°C to +60°C.
