Event-dependent visualization

Display unit from ipf electronic with TFT touch display

At Motek, ipf electronic will be presenting three new display devices with a range of extremely useful functions for practical use, including a TFT touch display with event-dependent color variants.

The display devices designed for a wide range of tasks WY050100, WP050100 and BA050100 from ipf electronic replace the previous models and all have a uniform design. Along with a very easy-to-read graphic display (7-segment display) and easy-to-operate touchscreen, the devices offer features such as the event-dependent colour variants of the display to visualize the switching thresholds defined via the signal outputs in colour and thus clearly visible from a distance, e.g. for monitoring a limit value.

The WY050100 is a multifunctional device and can be used e.g. as a pulse counter, tachometer, rev counter, position indicator etc. The parameterization of the WY050100 is intuitive, as with all display devices, thanks to the plain text input and the touch display. The solution integrates an auxiliary voltage output for 24V diagnostic coverage for the transducer power supply. The basic device with three HTL signal inputs is available with the following connection options: 3 control inputs, 16-bit analog output, 4 switching outputs and an RS232 interface.

The WP050100 has an SSI input and is therefore suitable for use with single and multiturn encoders with SSI formats from 10 to 32 bits. The device can be operated as a master or slave, with the clock for the connected transducer being generated either by the display device or by an external device as an SSI master. The performance spectrum of the WP050100 is supplemented by numerous functions such as scaling, bit blanking etc. The display device with SSI input offers the same connection options as the WY050100.

For further evaluation in a higher-level control (unit), the results of the WY050100 and WP050100 can also be output, e.g. as a simple PNP switching signal (overspeed/underspeed) or as an analog output signal resolved to the set speed range.

Finally, the range of display devices from ipf electronic is rounded off with the BA050100a process display with two universal 16-bit analog inputs designed for analog signals -10 ... 10V or 0/4 ... 20mA. The display device can therefore handle a wide range of operational modes: single-channel operation, dual-channel operation or dual-channel operation with combination of sum, difference, multiplication or division.

All new products from ipf electronic have protection class IP65 on the front and are therefore suitable for use in demanding industrial environments.
