New inclination sensors from IPF

With the YN58 series, IPF presents inclination sensors that are particularly impressive due to their "inner values".

The sensors detect the inclination angle in both the X and Y directions with an absolute repeat accuracy of 0.03°. The sensors are available in three versions: -10° to +10° (YN580020), -45° to +45° (YN580021), and -85° to +85° (YN580022), with the two analog outputs providing a signal of 4...20 mA across the entire measuring range.

Compared to other inclination sensors on the market, the YN58 series from IPF has some special features. For example, there is an easy-to-read LED display inside the sensors to visualize the inclination angle. The information provided by the LED display is also supported by four crosshair LEDs arranged around the display, which signal the direction in which the sensor is tilted during installation. Both the display and the crosshair LEDs significantly simplify the installation and start-up of the devices.

The housing of the inclination sensors, which are designed for a wide ambient temperature range of -25 °C to +80 °C, is made of aluminum (protection class IP67). The electrical connection is made using a 5-pin M12 connector.

Inclination sensors are used for absolute angle and position detection and measure the tilt of an object in relation to the Earth's gravity. The range of applications for such devices is diverse: e.g., on excavators, cranes, lifting platforms (accident protection), PV systems, wind turbines, telescopes, or industrial robots, to name just a few examples.
