The DW5x series pressure sensors, designed for pressure ranges from -1 bar to +600 bar, are the “Swiss Army knives” of ipf electronic’s pressure sensor lineup. Highly versatile and suitable for both liquid and gaseous media in every conceivable application, these devices leave nothing to be desired in terms of user-friendly operation and technical features. The sensors with an IO-Link interface feature a switching output and a second variable output that can be configured as a switching, analog, or alarm output depending on specific requirements. All DW5x settings can be verified using an “offline test function” before the sensor is actually deployed in an application, without having to apply pressure to the sensors.

The focus is on the integrated, easy-to-read TFT color display with its extremely versatile options for different display modes. Just a few examples: display of pressure in plain text with a trend graph and accurate labeling of the switching points, or color display options for when predefined switching points are reached. But this is by no means the full extent of the potential offered by the easily switchable color display.

The display is perfectly legible in any mounting position, as the display itself can be rotated in 90° increments and the housing can be rotated continuously through 305°. The sensors, featuring a fully stainless-steel measuring cell and an integrated processor, not only provide the pressure but can also determine a relative temperature value of the medium upon request.
