Simply ignore metal chips
Whether turning, milling, drilling or grinding: Metal chips interfere not only with the processing of workpieces or components, but also with their detection.
With the IO12012F (size M12), IO18012F (size M18) and IO30012F (size M30) inductive sensors, ipf electronic presents three extremely robust solutions in one-piece full metal housings (protection class active surface IP68 and IP69K) that are insensitive to chips made of steel, aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel. These sensors can thus detect target objects made of steel, non-ferrous metals and VA with equal ease and reliability, without malfunctions due to metal chips.
Depending on the version, the very durable devices have switching distances of 3 to 12mm, are pressure-resistant (active area) up to 80bar (IO12012F) and can be used in temperature ranges from -25° C to +85° C. Another plus point: All inductive sensors are equipped with an IO-Link interface and thus enable easy integration into the Industrial Ethernet.
