Capacitive sensors - Switching amplifiers
Capacitive proximity switches are contactless sensors. They detect both metallic and non-metallic objects, regardless of whether they are moving or not. The achievable switching distance of the devices depends on the object material, its dimensions, and the response sensitivity set via a potentiometer. These vibration-resistant sensors can be approached from the lateral or frontal direction. Capacitive proximity switches are used for presence detection (e.g., seal detection), positioning (e.g., PET bottles), counting (e.g., plastic caps), level detection (e.g., lubricants), or distance measurements (e.g., thickness measurement) of solid and liquid materials.
