Measuring transducer - Rogowski coil
Along with conventional current transformers, Rogowski coils can also be used for current measurement. Due to the lack of an iron core, there are no non-linear influences of the iron core. Rogowski coils can be easily installed and removed without disconnecting the circuit, i.e. without major installation work. In contrast to current transformers, high short-circuit currents in the energy distribution do not cause high forces and losses in Rogowski coils. Saturation or remanence effects, which are detrimental to the measurement and require complex demagnetization with normal current transformers, cannot occur.
