Where is the leak?

No, this is not the beginning of a detective story. Rather, we would like to introduce you to a new product in the ipf portfolio. Our leak detector for compressed air. The use of compressed air plays an important role in process automation. At first glance, the generation of this resource seems uncomplicated, but it requires a considerable amount of resources, including its provision.

For example, compressed air must be available in a suitably pure state, i.e. filters must be used to clean the air (condensation water and particles) so that the system does not experience excessive wear. Nevertheless, wear and tear, as well as damage, can lead to uncontrolled loss of system compressed air, which is noticeable by more or less loud hissing. Until now, locating compressed air leaks has sometimes been time-consuming and nerve-wracking. However, the leak detector from ipf can provide considerable assistance in the search. Using special microphone attachments, headphones and an integrated laser pointer, the position of a leak can be precisely determined.

As the leakage point in a system may not be easy to reach, there are various microphone attachments to reach even inaccessible fault locations and thus identify them specifically. However, the leak detector not only helps with troubleshooting, but also with checking and documenting the energy balance. The measured values collected on site can be saved with additional information in the device, transferred to a PC and seamless documentation can be created via software in line with energy management in accordance with ISO 50001. The leak detector is available as a set in a handy case with complete accessories under item number UY98E266 or as a single device under item number UY000001.
