That's just what we needed!
ipf electronic has added the 23 series to its extensive portfolio of optical diffuse reflection sensors. These include the OT230320 with visible red light and the two versions PT230320 and PT230020 in laser light version. The diffuse reflection sensor OT230320 has a considerable sensing range of up to 1.2 m and works with background suppression (triangulation), enabling reliable object detection regardless of the degree of reflection.
The sensor, with a detection range adjustable via a potentiometer, can be configured as normally closed (nc) or normally open (nc) via a control line. Another feature of the new 23 series is the 270° rotatable M12 plug-in contact, which offers significant advantages for variable mounting.
The diffuse reflection laser sensor PT230320 basically has a similar range of functions to the OT230320i.e: Background suppression and configurable switching function. The switching distance of up to 1m is slightly shorter. However, the detection behavior of the sensor is much more precise due to the laser light design. The switching distance can also be adjusted via a potentiometer.
The PT230020 with integrated IO-Link interface can also be used as a distance-measuring diffuse reflection laser sensor, as it also has an analog output with 4-20mA along with a configurable switching output. The distance to an object is thus also displayed through connection to a measuring transducer. The maximum sensing range is 5m.
With the exception of the PT230020 (degree of protection IP67), the new products comply with protection classes IP67 and IP69K.
