These solutions fit everywhere

Today's systems are becoming increasingly complex and space problems are therefore almost the order of the day. For this reason, it is usually very helpful if it is possible to switch to compact devices with a smaller design in the area of standard sensor technology. In the following, we would therefore like to present some extremely interesting solutions with different concepts and in different designs.

PT140470

The PT140470 diffuse reflection laser sensor in miniature design is already a classic in ipf's portfolio. However, this does not make it an antiquated product. The sensor delivers a very accurate laser beam course which, in combination with background suppression using the triangulation method, makes it possible to reliably detect parts of any shape and color. Due to the high switching frequency of 2kHz, objects to be detected quickly in process sequences do not pose a major problem for the PT140470.

The sensing range of the sensor can be set within a range of 22 to 130mm via a potentiometer. As an alternative to the plug-in version, the PT140400 is available with a PUR connection cable (length: 2m). The mounting bracket AO000073 and the universal mounting AY000116, which can be swiveled and rotated in several directions, are also available as mounting accessories.

MZR40178

Despite its minimal size, the MZR40178 magnetic cylinder sensor in a round design has a robust stainl. steel housing. With dimensions of 3.6 x 20.5 mm, the housing is barely thicker than the connection cable and can be used in Festo cylinders with a round groove as standard.

The MZR40178 integrates an M8 cable connector with 300mm PUR connection cable. Alternatively, the MZR401A8 with 2m PUR connection cable or the MZR40128 with M12 cable connector and 300mm PUR connection cable are also available. The active sensor surface is located in the middle area of the housing in all versions. Together with the optionally available adapter AM000081, the MZR40178 can also be used in T-slot cylinders and also on round cylinders by using various optionally available mounting clips from ipf.

IB090170

At first glance, the cuboid housing of the IB090170 inductive sensor may appear somewhat "bulky". At second glance, however, this design offers the advantage of being able to completely dispense with separate mounting accessories in countless applications.

Two M3 through-hole bores facilitate mounting without additional alignment of the sensor. The switching distance of the IB090170 is 1.5 mm. The connection is made via an M8 plug connection. Cable devices and versions with increased switching distance are also available in this series. The maximum switching frequency varies between 1kHz and 5kHz depending on the model.

IB12012W

The IB12012W occupies a special position among inductive sensors for an increased temperature range. Not only the integrated electronics are designed for an ambient temperature range of up to 150°C, but also the M12 plug connection. This makes the sensor particularly interesting for applications in which a higher ambient temperature occurs due to parameter changes.

In such cases, a quick adjustment can be made by replacing the standard sensor, designed for a maximum ambient temperature of up to 70°C, with an inductive W model with M12 plug connection (available in the designs M8, M12, M18 and M30). Included in the scope of delivery are 2 nuts. A selection of other mounting accessories is also available.
