Every stroke counts
Sensitive sensor technology can quickly be damaged or destroyed when detecting robust parts on machine ejectors. This is why ipf electronic has an interesting niche product in its portfolio.
The impact sensor YM500170 is particularly suitable for applications in which screws, rivets, punched parts, springs and non-metallic parts need to be detected and counted. The compact sensor with dimensions of 55 x 50 x 10 mm is mounted on the machine ejector for this purpose and reacts exclusively to the physical impact of corresponding objects. Thanks to the robust aluminum housing in IP67 and a replaceable impact plate made of steel, the sensor impresses with its high endurance, among other things.
The YM500170 can detect up to 100 parts per second, whereby a steel ball with a diameter of 3 mm from a drop height of 20 mm provides the minimum reference for reliable detection. The signal quality of light or fast falling objects can be optimized by adjustable pulse stretching in a time range of 0.1 to 30ms. The sensitivity as well as the pulse stretching are adjustable via 2 potentiometers on the housing. The impact sensor has a response time of 0.3ms and a switching frequency of 100Hz.
The electrical connection is made via a 3-pin M8 plug contact, which is protected against mechanical damage by a protrusion on the baffle plate.
