New selector for high-performance light barriers
For some time now, we have wanted to present the possible device combinations for our high-power photoelectric sensors, consisting of a selection of transmitters, receivers and amplifiers, in a more comprehensible way for visitors to our website www.ipf.de with regard to specific applications.
The reason: the wide range of possible combinations of individual devices may result in different ranges, which is important depending on the application, as the range can determine the success or failure of an inquiry. Within the range spectrum of our high-performance photoelectric sensors between 7 and 70 meters, up to 5440 combinations are possible.
If a transmitter with a high power is selected because a correspondingly high range is required, then selecting the wrong amplifier can reduce the power and thus the range of the light barrier.
Even with an oversized combination of transmitter, receiver and amplifier, you are not necessarily on the right side, as the object to be recognized deflects the infrared light of the light barrier or the infrared light simply penetrates the object, depending on the material and material thickness.
To make the selection of high-performance light barriers much easier in future, we have developed a method (in collaboration with the web designers at the mmh communications agency in Lüdenscheid) based on our tried-and-tested product selector, which you can use to filter out the right combination for you from the possible range of devices and thus find your individual solution. Basically, all you have to do is enter the range of the high-performance photoelectric sensor you require.
An intelligent filter then displays the suitable combinations of transmitter, receiver and amplifier in the product selector. The selection can then be further refined via additional criteria, leaving you with a manageable number of device combinations from which you can choose the ideal solution.
