New perspectives for distance measurement and positioning
Our new PT64 series laser triangulation scanners replace the long-established PT65 and PT66 device series. The almost mechanically identical devices combine three sensors in one solution: analog sensor, switching sensor and contrast sensor.
Thanks to the free software included in the scope of delivery, the performance spectrum of the PT64 is once again significantly expanded and therefore offers many new perspectives for the extremely flexible use of these laser triangulation scanners from ipf electronic in a wealth of potential applications.
The devices in protection class IP67 with laser class 1 (measuring range up to 300mm for laser spot, measuring range up to 200mm for laser line) or 2 (measuring range up to 600/1000mm) already impress with their external values: these include the integrated LED status displays, 2 digital inputs, 2 analog outputs (0-10V or 4-20mA) and 2 digital outputs, which, with the software for the PT64, offer not only interesting but also extremely useful options for practical use. Particularly striking: the rotatable M12 angle plug, which makes mounting the diffuse reflection sensors much easier.
The PT64s have two LEDs for status displays, with one display as a tricolor LED (red, green and white) capable of providing three different pieces of information at once (the left tricolor LED signals where the measured value is in relation to the taught-in tolerance range, the right LED signals the operating status of the sensor).
Even in their initial state, the devices in the PT64 series offer a wide range of basic functions so that the laser triangulation probes are quickly ready for use. All PT64s supply a distance signal ex works in relation to the entire measuring range of the respective device type.
The diffuse reflection sensors provide two analog signals 0-10V or 4-20mA as well as various measuring ranges, with the smallest measuring range ranging from 21mm to 45mm and the largest measuring range between 150mm and 1,000mm. Depending on the device type and measuring range, the diffuse reflection sensors with laser spot and laser line achieve resolutions of 6μm to 250μm. With the integrated teach button, the user is able to reset the measuring range start and end points within the measuring range limits specified by the respective device. A time frame of 5 minutes is available for shifting the measuring range limits from the time the sensor is connected to the supply voltage. This time frame is used to protect the device from unauthorized or unintentional manipulation
