Oldies but Goldies - OT160470

In our wide-ranging product environment of optical diffuse reflection sensors, the OT160470 could already be described as an old-timer. However, its design, features and reliability still make it a bestseller.

The device housing is made of robust zinc diecast. The sensor works with visible red light, which makes positioning on the object to be detected particularly easy. Another advantage is the background suppression, which enables pure object detection regardless of its reflective properties. The OT160470 can be operated in light-on/dark-on mode. Due to its small dimensions, it is also predestined for confined installation situations.

The small housing width of 12.4 mm is a particular advantage here. The sensing range of the sensor is 15 (dead zone) to 300mm and is set via a mechanical adjustment unit. Despite the simple adjustment option with all its advantages, the sensor has a high degree of protection IP67.
