When color is needed
Do you want to check the presence of a label or protective film? Do you want to use color marks for sorting or check self-luminous labels? Then a color sensor from the OF51 series from ipf electronic could be just what you need.
The devices in this series are characterized by a very compact housing measuring just 50x50mm. Despite these small dimensions, the sensors have five outputs and one input, which are available via an 8-pin M12 standard industrial connector. The sensors are available in different versions with integrated illumination and fixed optics, e.g. with diffuse illumination (OF510140), with polarizing filter (OF510141) or with focused light source (OF510142).
For even more flexibility in the application, ipf electronic offers the OF510180 model with fiber optic connection. With this version, it is possible to integrate the transmitter and receiver optics directly into a tool, or to use special apertures and zoom lenses. Using free Windows software, the sensors can be quickly parameterized via an RS232 interface (USB or Ethernet adapter optional) and the data saved to a PC. Up to 31 colors can be taught in and, if desired, combined into groups and output directly or in binary code at the five outputs.
The advantage: the user sees what the sensor sees, which means that deviations can also be assessed accordingly.
