How do we create energy transparency?

With the help of our powerful technical solution and the Internet of Things (IoT), you can see in real time how changes, e.g. to systems or processes, are affecting your company and thus maintain an overview at all times and from anywhere. All you need is a compact gateway BY000002 from ipf electronic.

But how does the system and thus the communication work?

The data collected can be stored locally in the company (gateway or server) or optionally stored in a cloud via a secure VPN connection.

Sensors and actuators can be connected directly (by cable) to the BY000002 via a variety of interfaces, e.g. digital/analog inputs. Alternatively, well-known bus protocols can be used to route the sensors via a single cable tail (e.g. Modbus). Alternatively, wireless sensor integration is also possible.

The gateway itself can be addressed in your own company network via LAN or WLAN. In line with Industry 4.0, important communication protocols such as OPC UA, CAN and MQTT are available for this purpose. Finally, the collected data can be visualized and analysed via an individually configurable dashboard on a PC or tablet. It has never been easier to create greater energy transparency and to implement and realize end-to-end energy management in accordance with ISO 50001.
