Simply better distributed

Distribution islands have been an integral part of every system for years. Placed at a straight point, sensors can be easily connected via a pluggable connection cable - a bus then continues to the control (unit). This saves cable tails and also significantly reduces the amount of wiring required.

Similar to our M8 logic distributors, a new design is now also being introduced for the M8 passive distribution terminals. The devices are characterized by their compact dimensions. They can be mounted both from the front and laterally. The fully encapsulated design makes the distribution terminals even less sensitive to shocks and vibrations. All versions have an M12 plug connection for the bus. The VK001101 has an eight-pin version, all other versions are equipped with a 12-pin connector.

The following versions are available with 3-pin M8 slots: VK001101 (four-pin), VK001102 (eight-pin) and VK001103 (ten-pin). More and more new sensors are available via a 4-pin M8 connector. Previously, these devices could only be connected to an M8 distribution terminal via an adapter cable (e.g. VK03A247) - this meant that the signal at PIN 2 (normally closed (nc) output or teach input) could not be used. With the VK001111, ipf now offers a distribution terminal with four 4-pin M8 slots for the first time, so that all signals from the connected sensors can be used. The bus is also connected via a 12-pin M12-connector.
