Power supplies - stabilized
Pulsed power supply units are used to supply electrical systems or system parts with a stabilized DC voltage. Due to the lower copper losses, pulsed power supply units have a significantly higher efficiency than mains transformers in the lower power range. They can also be designed to be more compact and lighter than conventional linear regulated power supply units, which contain a heavy transformer with an iron core and cause additional losses in the linear regulator.
