Motion and presence detectors - Motion sensor
Radar sensors are primarily used as signal transducers to control automatic doors and gates. They detect the movement of people and/or industrial trucks and are not affected by soiling. Objects can be detected based on their movement direction to optimize the opening cycles of the gates. People can be excluded from detection so that the sensor reacts only when vehicles approach. Furthermore, it is possible to eliminate disturbing influences caused by moving objects within the sensor’s detection range. Systems that also feature presence detection monitor the area in front of a gate to prevent the gate leaf from coming into contact with vehicles or objects as it closes.
