Luminescence sensors are optical sensors that recognize pigments (luminophores) excited by UV light in various materials and thus trigger a switching operation. Application examples: detection of bottle labels made of paper (contains luminophores), sorting of different materials and products that were previously provided with pigment-containing markings as invisible identification.
