Finally everything in your own hands

Simple, economical and flexible machine monitoring

Efficient plant monitoring that is scalable at any time does not have to be associated with high initial investments or follow-up costs, as a pilot project by automotive supplier Sodecia Safety & Mobility with an IIoT gateway from IPF assigns.

Sodecia Safety & Mobility Attendorn GmbH has been part of the Portuguese Sodecia Group since 2016, which is one of the market leaders in the field of structural parts and transmission components for the automotive industry with around 7,000 employees at 47 locations worldwide. "At our site in Attendorn, we employ around 528 people and primarily produce module cross members for electric vehicles and safety assemblies for vehicle interiors, such as seat belt height adjustment systems, or GHV for short," says Jerome Turk, Team Leader Plant Maintenance Engineering at Sodecia Safety & Mobility.

Production takes place via a total of three plants, with a correspondingly large machine park. "In my department alone, we have various automatic punching presses with press forces ranging from 125 tons to 1600 tons and just over 100 robots. There are also several welding plants and automated assembly systems," says Jerome Turk.
