Optical sensors with very high ranges
ipf electronic further expands its comprehensive product portfolio
ipf electronic is expanding its extensive range of optical diffuse reflection sensors with a new series. These include the visible red light operating OT230320 and the laser sensors PT230320 and PT230020 (both laser class 1).
The diffuse reflection sensor OT230320 has a considerable range of up to 1200mm (adjustable via a potentiometer) and works with background suppression using the triangulation method, which enables very reliable object detection almost independently of the degree of reflection of the object surface. The sensor can be configured as both normally closed (nc) and normally open (NO).
The diffuse reflection laser sensor PT230320 has a similar range of functions, i.e. also with background suppression and configurable switching function, but is much more precise due to the focused laser light. The switching distance, which can be adjusted with a potentiometer, is a maximum of 1,000 mm.
The PT230020 with integrated IO-Link interface, unlike the PT230320 can also be used for distance measurements, as the touch probe has an analog output (4...20mA) along with the configurable switching output, which means it can be used to precisely determine the distance to an object. The PT230020 also impresses with a very high range of up to 5,000mm.
All new products are available in protection class IP67 and IP69K.
Another feature of all solutions is the 270° rotatable M12 connector plug, which enables variable device mounting.
