Linking digital signals directly at the machine can help significantly minimize costs and effort. A classic use case is linking different signals directly in the field. This eliminates the need for long cable runs between many individual devices, which significantly reduces wiring effort and minimizes the number of control inputs required. All input signals to the logic modules are indicated by integrated LEDs and are electrically isolated from one another. This reliably prevents one device from affecting another. The modules’ outputs are overload-protected, and the current signal is also indicated via an LED display. Along with logical input signal combinations such as AND or OR, versions with signal change detection are also available. The ipf logic modules are available for DIN rail mounting or as field modules. For this reason, and due to their robust housing—which features a high degree of protection against the ingress of dust and water—our devices can be used in all areas of machinery, systems, and tools.
