Flow sensors - Sensors for water
When an electrically conductive liquid crosses a magnetic field, a voltage dependent on the flow velocity is generated perpendicular to that magnetic field. This voltage is measured using electrodes located in the wall of the measuring tube. Microcontrollers evaluate this voltage, calculate the flow rate, and display it on the screen. An analog signal and a transistor switch output are available for further processing.
