Color sensors evaluate the red, green and blue components of the light reflected by objects or the radiation emitted by "self-luminous objects" (e.g., LEDs, lights, displays, etc.). They work according to the true color principle (recognize colors similar to the human eye), which enables objects and self-luminous objects to be reliably differentiated according to color and brightness. Color sensors can therefore be used in many areas of process control and quality assurance.
